DRUMMING FOR FUN AND RELAXATION
Wednesday 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th September, 7:15pm – 8:45pm, £40 for 4 weeks.

We will be learning basic sounds and techniques for African style hand drums and percussion. Playing simple and multi-part rhythm patterns and improvising together to create our own music. Learning about mindful drumming and using the drum as a tool for meditation and relaxation.

GUMBOOT DANCE CLASS
2 - 4pm last Saturday of every month, all ages welcome. £6 (£3 for children).

Gumboot dance is a highly energetic work out class. This dance was formed as a means of communication by black miners from the South African Gold Mines many years ago and is now celebrated as a traditional dance all over the Southern part of Africa.

Vicki probes the links between our journey around the seasonal year, journeys in our life and our lifetime journey. Creating cycles within cycles she weaves them, with song, into the idea that our mind, body and soul, as a map of the cosmos, holds the key to a greater understanding of ourselves.

SING YOUR HEART OUT - CHANTING WITH TIM CHALICE

Chanting quiets the mind and opens the heart. Meditative and ecstatic chants including Sanskrit mantras are set to simple melodies, supported by Mike Ford on tablas. These ancient chants contain a transformative power, taking us deeper into our hearts and the ever-present Silence. No previous experience of singing or chanting necessary.
